ARA is hosting the second annual Perth Cruelty Free Festival on Saturday, November 5^th, from 10am till 4pm. The event will be held at Earthwise Community Centre, located at 315 Bagot Road, Subiaco. Entry is free and animal companions are welcome!

This is a significant time for animals – October 2 is World Farm Animals Day and October 1-8 is Be Kind to Animals Week. In Australia, where millions of farm animals are slaughtered, kind is not the word that comes to mind. But aren’t we a nation that condemns cruelty to animals?

With the Perth Royal Show and Be Kind to Animals Week both beginning on the 1st of October, Pendergrast responds to questions from Sattler about the farm animals people will be seeing at the Perth Royal Show and who also end up on people's plates.

The City of Fremantle currently has a ban on circuses that use animals but this policy is under new threat by some of the councillors who hope to overturn the ban.

After a very successful festival last year, the time is drawing nearer for our second annual Cruelty Free Festival on Saturday 5 November. The festival will again focus on promoting veganism, social justice and sustainability, with lots of great events and activities throughout the day.
